Visit to a Village School
The World Goodness Association continues its charitable work without slowing down. With the motto “Act of Kindness for Everyone,” the association, led by philanthropist businessperson Menekşe Kankavi, visited the kindergarten students of Firuzbey Primary School in Paşamandıra, a village in Beykoz, near Istanbul. The well-known artist Yılmaz Morgül, a founding member of the association, used donations collected from his concerts to prepare gift packages containing clothes, toys, and chocolates for the thirty children aged four to five in the kindergarten. The event was hosted by the school principal, Fatma Bayraktar.
Wheelchairs for Two Disabled Individuals
During the visit, two individuals from the Beykoz Association for the Disabled also received electric wheelchairs. Mesut Barış, a 13-year-old with cerebral palsy, and Ceyhun Şen, a 23-year-old with 96% spina bifida disability, were presented with their new electric wheelchairs. The event, hosted by school principal Fatma Bayraktar, was attended by vice principal Enes Kaplan, teachers, association secretary-general Arif Işık, board member responsible for disabled individuals Hasan Polat, and member Songül Gökdere.
The famous philanthropist and artist Yılmaz Morgül personally interacted with the children, played the role of a teacher, and sang songs with them. He shared an emotional moment, saying: “I started primary school when I was five and a half years old. Coming from a poor family, charitable organizations would give me clothes during holidays. Today, memories of those times came alive in my heart. I felt both emotional and extremely happy.”
