Yılmaz Morgül, a philanthropist artist and one of the founders of our organization World Goodness Association, visited the elderly at a nursing home in Ataşehir along with our association’s executives before Ramadan Bayram. He handed out Eid gifts, sang songs, and engaged in heartfelt conversations with the residents.
The executives and members of the World Goodness Association, led by businesswoman Menekşe Kankavi, continue their charitable efforts without pause. Philanthropist artist Yılmaz Morgül, who is also a founding member of the association, visited the residents of Lotus Nursing Home and Elderly Care Center in Ataşehir together with the association’s board members before Ramadan Bayram.
At the nursing home, which houses 15 male and 35 female residents, Morgül paid special attention to individuals suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s. He also distributed sweaters and cardigans—donated by Sel Logistics—to bring joy to the residents’ hearts.
Philanthropist artist Yılmaz Morgül delighted the residents of Lotus Nursing Home and Elderly Care Center by singing songs and chatting with them, fulfilling each of their song requests. The visit was also attended by Yağmur Koca and Hasan Polat, members of the board of World Goodness Association.
During the visit, resident Günenç Söğüt gifted Morgül a potted flower that he had grown in the garden, creating an emotional moment. Morgül also spent time with Nezahat Günerli, one of the oldest residents, singing songs together.
The nursing home’s co-owner Harun Ataşlar and director Şeyma Keskin expressed their gratitude to the renowned artist, emphasizing the importance of such visits: “These visits are very meaningful for our residents. They make a significant positive impact on their social lives and overall health.”
At the end of the visit, Yılmaz Morgül shared his heartfelt sentiments: “After my mother’s passing, I became even more sensitive about the elderly. The elders here are like mothers to me. I want to visit often and stay involved.”
Additionally, World Goodness Association, in collaboration with Gökduy Hearing Aids, conducted hearing tests for the residents and provided support to those in need of hearing assistance.
