The event took place at BEYMER (Beykoz Accessible Life Center), which operates under Beykoz Municipality. Philanthropic artist Yılmaz Morgül, who attended the event, gifted an electric wheelchair—purchased with donations from two philanthropists—and summer clothing to forty children. Morgül also sang songs together with the young participants, children, and other attendees.

World Disability Week, celebrated globally between May 10th to 16th, was marked with a special event organized in collaboration between the World Goodness Association and the Beykoz Disabled Association. The event was held at BEYMER (Beykoz Accessible Life Center), operated by Beykoz Municipality. It was a vibrant celebration attended by forty disadvantaged children and youth from Beykoz, along with their families.

The event was also attended by Beykoz Deputy Mayor Özlem Vural Gürzel and well-known artist Yılmaz Morgül, who is widely appreciated for his philanthropic work. Morgül participated as a founding member and volunteer of the World Goodness Association. During the celebration, which was also joined by Hasan Polat (Board Member responsible for Disabled Individuals and President of the Beykoz Disabled Association), board member Arif Işık, and other members of the association, summer clothes were gifted to the forty disadvantaged children and youth.

During the event, two electric wheelchairs—purchased with donations from philanthropists Filiz Karakoç and Ayşegül Özkardaş—were delivered to two children from Beykoz: 14-year-old Mesut Barış, who has cerebral palsy and is 88% disabled, and 4-year-old Mesut Batu Ceylan, who also has cerebral palsy and is 92% disabled.

Yılmaz Morgül, who sang songs and anthems with the disadvantaged children and youth, also gave a heartfelt speech during the event. He stated,

“I entrust those dirty hands that reach out to children and babies first to Almighty God and then to our state. We do not want to see such people among us. The heaviest punishments must be given, and those punishments must be a deterrent.”
