A newly established organization called the World Goodness Association, founded by a group of philanthropists, recently responded to a mother’s plea for help.
The World Goodness Association, which was founded to provide financial and emotional support to all individuals in need as well as to homeless animals, continues its work in line with its mission. Having been established only a short time ago, the association performed its first act of kindness for 2025.
Emel Altuntaş, a mother living in Beykoz, explained that due to financial constraints, she could not take her two daughters—a toddler with a lung condition and her older sibling—out of the house at the same time. She mentioned that she needed a double stroller to take both children out together. The association fulfilled this request, alleviating the family’s struggles.
Emel Altuntaş shared that she had difficulty taking her 17-month-old daughter Aden, who suffers from a lung condition, and her 3.5-year-old daughter Eslem outside simultaneously. She stated: “When my husband is not at home, it’s very hard for me to go out with both children. It was almost impossible to carry both my sick daughter and her sister at the same time. Now, with this stroller, we can go out comfortably.”
During the stroller handover ceremony, emotional moments were witnessed as the request of Emel Altuntaş was fulfilled by the association. The ceremony was attended by the association’s president, businesswoman and philanthropist Menekşe Kankavi, and founding member and Head of Support for Disabled Individuals, Hasan Polat. The mother and father, Emel and Ömer Altuntaş, expressed their happiness as they placed Aden and Eslem in the stroller and posed for photographs with the association’s directors.
Association President Menekşe Kankavi said: “Sometimes a problem that seems simple can actually be a serious challenge for those experiencing it. We will continue to address issues, big or small, with our acts of kindness. Today, we have witnessed this firsthand. Now, these two little ones and their family are happy.”
